The Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) recently announced the recipients of its Trailblazer Awards for the ImagineNation Outcomes Challenge. The award was given to the top 3 Challenge teams in each of the 4 categories: e-Scheduling, Patient Access to Health Information, Medication Reconciliation and Clinical Synoptic Reporting.
Award recipients were chosen by a panel of more than 30 judges from across Canada, including 4 judges associated with the Canadian Dental Association (CDA).
The first place award recipients in each category are:
- University of British Columbia Health Services (Vancouver) – e-Scheduling
- Cancer Care Ontario (Toronto) – Patient Access to Health Information
- The Ottawa Hospital (Ottawa) – Medication Reconciliation
- University Health Network (Toronto) – Clinical Synoptic Reporting
CDA is an official supporting organization of Infoway's ImagineNation Outcomes Challenge. CDA joins other national organizations, such as the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, in providing expert advice and support to Infoway for the Challenge, which runs until March 2013.
