You will not be able to transmit claims to most
insurance carriers using a phone modem after
September 30, 2017
This deadline for modem retirement was set by the TELUS Health
network and Alberta Blue Cross for claims they receive. The change
affects claims for Great West Life, Sun Life, Manulife, NIHB, Desjardins
and other claims transmitted through the TELUS Health network and
Alberta Blue Cross.
If your office uses a phone modem for dental benefit claims
transmission, you will need to transition to the Internet before the
September 30 deadline.
