Everyone who wants to volunteer or everyone who wants to contribute to the project is free to do so,” says Laghapour Lighvan. In its early trials, the tool had some challenges in having reliable phonetic equivalents allowing English speakers to make themselves understood, but the FCDSA is planning to create a survey to identify and solve any issues. Laghapour Lighvan and his team believe this tool has great potential for use in remote or rural dental offices, in areas where cultural and language diversity may not be represented.
