He went on to earn a BSc in Environment & Resources Management, where he studied, among other topics, climate change and human impact on the natural world. “That was an important moment for me, to love something but then to learn how it was imperiled,” Dr. Kalman explained. “I felt like I had to do something.” Dr. Les Kalman is an educator, researcher and academic lead for Continuing Dental Education at SchulichMedicine &Dentistry at Western University. 22 | 2022 | Issue 4
