Dentists CanOffer Smoking Cessation Support A recent survey 1 conducted by the American Dental Association (ADA) found that 50% of dentists offered some help with smoking cessation, though many could benefit from training and reimbursement. I n 2019, about 14% of Americans smoked cigarettes, or about 34.1 million adults. More than 16 million Americans live with a smoking-related disease.
