RSC: There is some research that suggests that in the future we may have irrigation solutions using nanoparticles that could replace sodium hypochlorite. 4 Indeed, there is research coming from the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Anil Kishen, which suggests that nanoparticles are as ef fective as sodium hypochlorite but don’t have the same cytotoxicity.
