From May 10 to 14, 2021, CDA conducted a virtual Days on the Hill, a series of meetings between Members of Parliament (MPs), Senators, and senior government officials and CDA’s advocacy committee volunteers. Dr. Richard Holden, CDA president, led the CDA delegation of elected officers, committee members and staff to bring oral health care issues and concerns to the attention of senior government officials who have influence over federal policy and programs. “It felt very gratifying tobe apart of this excellent team as we brought CDA’s messages to the government,” says Dr. Holden. “CDA has an extremely dedicated advocacy committee; some with several years’ experience and others newer to the process. Our job, as practising dentists, is to share our experiences with these government decision-makers in an effort to have themconsider oral health care as a priority for Canadians.” Days on the Hill 2021 First Virtual Edition of CDA’s Annual Advocacy Event
