Caries RiskAssessment Tool inRourke Record E ven though I'm retired from clinical care, I always look forward to receiving CDA Essentials . It has become a great source of information on issues important to the profession. I am writing specifically to applaud the recent article 1 on the development of the Caries Risk Assessment (CRA) Tool and especially its inclusion in the Rourke Baby Record. As a retired pediatric dentist, I have worked throughout my career for improved dialogue and collaboration with our medical colleagues on oral health and overall health. The seemingly simple inclusion of the CRA Tool into the Rourke Record will have potentially life-altering benefits for many young children. Dr. Robert Schroth and the core participants have done a great job in developing a very useful tool. Kudos to them and thanks to the CDA for spreading the information to the dental profession.
