“U nlike an email attachment, the CDAnet attachment message will enable Canada Life to automate linking the attachment to the related claims or predetermination for a fast, efficient claims processing workflow, benefiting patients and dentists with faster turn-around times,” says Geoff Valentine, CDA’s associate director of Practice Support. “We’re always on the lookout for digital solutions that help support the financial, physical and mental well-being of Canadians, and supporting electronic attachments is a great example of this,” says Christine Siddall, assistant vice-president Claims Solutions & Fraud Management, Group Customer, Canada Life. “Enabling dental offices to send attachments electronically, instead of by paper, allows us to provide faster service to them and their patients. It’s a win-win for everyone.” At this time, about 50% of dental offices in Canada are served by software vendors who have the CDAnet attachment message available in their product. Dental offices could save time and money by transmitting images and documents related to specific CDAnet claims and predeterminations.
