12 | 2018 | Issue 1 N ews and E vents Dr. Patricia Ling Appointed as New Registrar inManitoba Dr. Ling has been an active volunteer in Manitoba dentistry for some time. She has served as president of the Peer Review Committee at the Winnipeg Dental Society, a facilitator for the Student Mentorship Program at the MDA General Practice Study Club, and as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Dental Research . Dr. Ling also worked as a volunteer dentist at the Siloam Mission Saul Sair Health Centre, a community centre dedicated to providing health care Dr. Patricia Ling Announcements to homeless and poor communities in Manitoba. Dr. Ling served as MDA deputy registrar from 2015 to 2017. She was acting registrar before being officially appointed registrar by the MDA Board in December 2017. a Dr. Patricia Ling of Winnipeg was named registrar of the Manitoba Dental Association (MDA). Dr. Ling has been working as a general dentist in Winnipeg since 1988. She graduated from the University of Toronto faculty of dentistry in 1980, and earned her Master of Science from the University of Manitoba in 1995.
