This is a tenure-track position that involves teaching (40 %), research (40 %) and service (20 %). Applicants must have a PhD in any dental or related discipline that aligns with research applicable to the field of dentistry. A DMD, DDS or a Dental Hygiene degree is not mandatory, but will be preferred. Candidates will be selected based on their scholarly and teaching track record, but mostly on their potential to further develop independent dental biomaterials research at UBC. The successful candidate will be expected to teach basic dental materials disciplines to undergraduate students in our DMD and Dental Hygiene Programs and also to our graduate students (MSc/PhD residents) in the disciplines of Prosthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics and others, as required.
